Let me start by saying, I have been to a lot of museums in my lifetime and not very many am I allowed to interact, touch, or handle the exhibits. Our journey didn't start at this particular children's museum. It started in the Strong Memorial Museum of Play in Rochester NY. However, in my hopes to continue allowing my children to explore and experience life, I came across this place in a nearby area and decided to try it out. The museum I am speaking of is the Bloomsburg Children's Museum in Bloomsburg PA. Located at 2 West 7th Street, Bloomsburg PA, this museum costs $7 a person. Not terribly expensive and worth the price for a few hours of fun activities and entertainment. I know I have paid more for movie that my kids didn't even like.

The door is very welcoming and when you enter you almost don't know where to start. I know I was surprised by how much there was to do here. They had activities set up and a cute little wildlife display around the room. They have over 50 hands on displays and activities on 2 floors.
After exploring the main room and checking the hall of mirrors and enjoying a great meal in the kitchen, we went into the next section and discovered the most amazing dinosaur mural I have ever seen.
After marveling at the mural, we found many other informative and interactive displays including Egyptian themes, doctor offices, ambulance driver, dress up play and so much more. We visited near the beginning of Covid and a lot of it was shut down, but we still had a blast.

They are always updating and changing displays, activities, and items to see, so please check them out! We plan to go again this summer to see the updated museum! If you go, please feel free to share your story. If you are looking to visit the area, feel free to ask me and I can help book you stay and offer up an itinerary. As always, Happy Exploring!
